A woman has been reported to be swallowed whole by a massive python in her garden in Indonesia. 54-year old Wa Tiba was being searched for after she was decleared missing on Muna Island on Thursday evening. The giant belly-filled snake was found near Wa Tiba sandals and a flashlight.The villagers opened the stomach of the 23ft-long python and found Ms Tiba’s body intact inside.
The village’s chief, Faris, said: “When they cut open the snake’s belly they found Tiba’s body still intact with all her clothes.”
A policeman added: “Residents were suspicious the snake swallowed the victim, so they killed it, then carried it out of the garden.
“The snake’s belly was cut open and the body of the victim was found inside. The garden was located at the base of a rocky cliff, which houses snakes”
Giant pythons of up to 5.7m (19ft) , are found commonly in Indonesia and the Philippines.
