Star Wars: Here’s Why Gleeson Almost Reject General Hux Role In The Last Jedi

Domnhall Gleeson  talked about why he didn’t want to accept the role of General Hux in the new Star Wars trilogy at first. Domnhall Gleeson will repeat his role as the fiery First Order commander for Rian Johnson’s upcoming The Last Jedi . He also played legendary Winnie the Pooh author A.A. Milne in Goodbye Christopher Robin, he also appearred in the thriller action movie by Darren Aronofsky, mother!, and finally in Tom Cruise’s, American Made.

Gleeson in a new interview with RadioTimes in the U.K.,  explained why he didn’t accept the Star Wars role right away. He said:

“Why would I have thought of saying no? Fame is the end goal for a lot of people but it is not mine. I worried that the accompanying fame would get in the way of how I live my life. It got a little crazy for a couple of months – for a while, going out and having a drink with my friends was difficult, and then it died down.”
