The movie setup is clear and simple, a 12-year-old Luke (Levi Miller) in love with his babysitter Ashley (Olivia DeJonge). He was determined to win over the high school girls as his parents enjoy a night out. Ashley came, and Luke makes a move by popping a bottle of champagne. Then knock at the door. Who could it be? All that followed was a loud noise and there wasno one in the house. Now a romantic evening turns into an evening filled with trepidations. That was indeed an abstract description as the movie tends to be more complicated that it won’t be cool to hint what is about to be revealed as the movie nears its full release. However, the movie act, death structures, threats is meaningful with a fun diversion.

Aussie thesp DeJonge provides suppleness as the main victim, who continues to avow her authority as an adult and Miller are quite amazing with their talent in the movie. Many movies of such did not succeed because the young actor cannot summon up a full depth of evil. Some people feel Safe Neighborhood holds more meaning as the title for the movie rather than Better Watch Out.
